Palooza means “Party” and that is just what we plan to do at our Annual Spring Retreat at Tulakogee Oklahoma. Of course “Party” at our age means sitting down, painting and not having to cook, clean, do laundry and take the dog out. The dates are March 30, 31, and April 1, 2012. Please save the dates and join us this year; you’ve earned this weekend away! Our theme is all about Flower Pots and that is what our exchange will be. Bring a painted flower pot and you will get to take one home painted by one of your Sister Tolers. Be the creative person you are and WOW us! Be sure to sign it so the one winning it will know who to thank. We LOVE door prizes and our door prize chairman, Deborah Wells, has been collecting goodies for us so we will have lots of door prizes, but remember you have to be at retreat to get a door prize. We will have some great classes at retreat. Linda Parkinson will be teaching the Tolers for the first time this year and is offering the lovely and unusual “Parrot Flower” in oils on canvas. And it is always fun taking from Carolyn Curry who will be bringing us a really pretty acrylic project “Enchanted Garden” on a palette paper towel holder. Friday Night T-Shirts. I designed our T-Shirt this year and I hope you enjoy painting it. What is Friday evening at retreat without the relaxing fun of painting our shirt. Extra T-Shirts will cost $7.00 for size Small thru 1x and $9.00 for 2x thru 5x. As per your requests, we will be offering an apron with the retreat logo for $9.00 as an additional option to paint on. Bunco Anyone? Phyllis Curry, our Games Chairman, will be leading us in Bunco on Saturday night for those who would like to play. The cost will be $5.00 cash. It is so much fun and keeps us moving around after sitting for so long. Shop till you drop is the plan for our sale tables. If you would like a sale table, please let me know so I can plan a spot for you. There are always lots of bargains.

Registration is $125.00 for members, $135.00 for guests and it is an all-inclusive retreat which includes your comfortable room and meals for the whole weekend plus a T-Shirt and Goodie Bag. You will pay the teachers directly at retreat for the classes you are taking. If you sign up for a class, you must pay the teacher if you do not cancel before the registration deadline. We MUST talk about Munchies...it is an All Important factor of retreat because we love to snack. Bring your favorite homemade or store bought treats. You pick, we like it all! If you have special dietary requirements please contact our Food Chairman, Jessica Cosby, and she will relay that information to the camp. Deadline! Your registration must be received by MARCH 10, 2012, no refunds for cancellations after this deadline date. Please try to join us on lovely Fort Gibson Lake, it just won’t be the same without YOU!
